My first summer I planted a large garden.
I enjoy canning and I spend the summer stocking the pantry for the
winter months.
Behind the garden were wild black berry bushes.
I pick several gallons of wild blackberries each summer for
cobblers and jelly.
The second summer my garden spot became a construction site
when we started Jessi's cottage.
Vegetables were tucked into all the flower beds and we managed to grow
enough to do some canning.
Cabbage and green onions are growing among the Iris.
The summer of 2002 will be a busy year. We started building our
raised beds garden.
A long term project the garden area will be based on a plan found in
a gardening magazine.
I promise to add photos as the work progresses and the harvest comes
in.
